The Colts started life as an Under 9's team in Division 2 of the Mid Warwickshire League in the 2005-6 season although the team had been together for two years prior to that as along with the Juniors they trained from 7 year olds and played the occasional friendly match as a combined age group.
With the entry into league football the Juniors and the Colts were created with Paul Baigent managing the Colts ably assisted by Phil Alcock. A number of new lads joined that summer and a squad of 10 was selected for the first season.
The Colts first competitive match was a Division 2 game away at Alcester Athletic when a hat trick from Callum and a goal from Blake secured a 4-1 win. Alcester was always a happy venue for the Colts and they recorded an impressive 9-1 victory there in a friendly game which for two years was their record victory. That first season they had a mixed set of results with many draws and ended up 6th in the 12 team division with their best result being a 2-2 draw against run away champions St Peters Celtic with the Leamington based club only getting their equaliser in the last minute. It was a crucial point in the end as it secured a Division 2 slot the following season as the teams below the Colts formed part of the new Division 3 for 2006-7. Goalkeeper Luke was the player of the season with Callum heading the top goal scorers with 21 goals.
