The Colts move to Leek Wooton for 2008/9
Friday 1st August 2008
In accordance with the Club pitch rotation policy the Colts have had to leave the Wardens club this season and have secured the pitch at Leek Wooton Sports Club in Leek Wooton village just outside Kenilworth for all of their home matches.
The playing service at Leek Wooton is excellent chiefly as a result of the hard work undertaken by the Cricket club in maintaining the cricket outfield and as the drainage is very good postponements due to the weather will be rare.
There is also an excellent Club house which the players & parents can use after the game and altogether the facilities are first class.
Colt’s Manager Paul Baigent added “I am looking forward to playing our home fixtures at Leek Wooton, it’s a fairly large pitch and with such a good playing surface our passing game will no doubt prosper. The Committee at Leek Wooton have made both Phil & I very welcome in our dealings with them and with the homely club house I am sure that the Colts have found an excellent home for their football for next season and hopefully beyond.”
A map of how to find our new ground can be found under section 12 “Extras” on the web site along with a link to the Leek Wooton Sports & Social Club web site found under section 11 “Links”.
