Leek Wootton Minors start training

After the initial introductory training programme for the new under 7’s and under 8’s in July the lads get together again on 17th September where they start their training programme as they look to develop their skills and games knowledge in preparation of developing a team or two for future matches.

Training will take place at the Leek Wootton recreation field on Saturday mornings between 09:30 and 11:00 and all players are to wear football boots and shin pads and of course bring a drink.

Any new players are welcome and please turn up and register your interest with either Phil or Paul at the start of the session.

Leek Wootton Minors receive start-up grant

Leek Wootton are delighted to have received a start-up grant from the Leigh Educational Foundation and would like to take this opportunity to thank the Trustees of the charity for their kind support. The grant will help pay for all of the startup training kit that the new Minor team.

Minors kick off in the sunshine …

The new Leek Wootton Minors football team kicked off their first ever get together on a sunny Saturday morning in July. A good number of players joined the squad and a great session took place at Castle Farm under the guidance of Head Coach Phil and his assistants for the day Paul & Rob.

The lads put in some real effort and showed some great touches and the parents can feel proud of their efforts. The session finished with a game that demonstrated that the lads have a great enthusiasm for the game and this bodes well for the future.

The programme continues on Thursday 7th July at 18:00 and there are some places left if anyone would like to join us. Simply register on line by clicking on the football player and this will automatically send you to your e-mail, and then just complete the registration as directed.
